 12 oz Phin

  • 4.375 inch plate diameter
  • Makes 1-2 servings of highly caffeinated brew
  • Done in 6-7 minutes

24 oz Phin

  • 6 inch plate diameter
  • Perfect for batch brewing, brunch parties and sharing with the fam!
  • Done in 6-7 minutes

Phin Brewing Tips:

We recommend a 1:2 ratio of coffee to water. So if it's a 4 oz Phin, use 2 tablespoons. Then you can add or decrease your coffee depending on how strong you like it. Super versatile!

Phin drip coffee is often described as "Vietnamese espresso." If you want more fluids, we highly recommend doing a second pour of hot water since some of the water always gets absorbed by the coffee.

Delicious coffee, fin holes are too big

I love the coffee very much. My only complaint is the fin holes are too large so a lot of the grinds end up in my cup. I have a few fins from my trip to Vietnam 5 years ago (all single serve sizes) so I thought these would be a great replacement in multiple size options but sadly, they are not. I’ll continue to buy the coffee though. Very good and very strong!

Awesome coffee experience

I discovered Vietnamese culture in college. What I primarily discover was the food. Initially just Vietnamese sandwiches. Then rice plates to pho and finally the coffee. Having the coffee now at home is nostalgic and comforting.

Great coffee w strong cultural connections

Love the coffee and cultural connections that Nguyen Coffee offers. Have learned so much about Vietnamese culture and coffee. A big hit as a gift to my Vietnamese coffee drinking camping coworker too!

All other Fair Trade or Compassionate Capitalism coffee companies seem more like cultural appropriation to me now.
